Sand Properties Control System

The system measures CB value during sand mixing operation by means of sampling a part of sand in the mixer. Water adding and CB measuring are repeatedly performed until CB value reaches the target, and a mixing cycle is completed.

Features

  • The water pouring rate decreases in the middle of the kneading process to reduce the time required for kneading.

Features

  • The muller speed is raised at the start of kneading to accelerate the mixture of sand, water and binder.
  • Sticking sand is reduced by the multiplier effect of inner resin liner and dimpling to maintain the kneading capacity.
  • Muller cakes are crushed and quickly discharged to reduce the time required for kneading.
By using pressurizing roller type mixer capable of shearing bentonite and of mulling sand, more stable green sand is obtained with minimum volume of bentonite and water, thus reducing required energy for running. Since temperature rise during mixing is minimized, such return sand as including comparatively more core sand can be turned into the optimal sand.
