What is a Force Plate?

A force plate is a motion analysis device that uses force/torque sensors to measure the vertical ground reaction force (Fz), horizontal forces (Fx and Fy), center of pressure (CoP), and torsional moment (Tz) applied to the plate surface.

Built on our 6-axis force/torque sensing technology, we developed a high-accuracy, portable force plate that makes force data more accessible than ever before.

POINT01

Portability

PORTABILITY

Anytime, anywhere, anyone

A portable solution that removes the constraints of force measurement.

Conventional Challenges

Force plates are often limited to specific measurement environments.
  • In portable systems, it is difficult to achieve both low weight and high measurement accuracy / rated load capacity.
  • Measurement environments are limited, so usage is often restricted to only a narrow range of applications.

Next-Generation Solution

The portable feature enabling flexible measurements anywhere and on the spot
  • By utilizing a 6-axis force/torque sensor, we achieve an 8 kg design—among the lightest in the industry.
  • The portable design allows measurement in a wide range of locations and scenarios.

POINT02

High accuracy, scientific measurement

SCIENCE

Engineered by a sensor manufacturer

Research-grade high-accuracy measurement performance in a portable system

Conventional Challenges

Portable systems have traditionally struggled to deliver high-accuracy measurements
  • Portable systems have traditionally been unsuitable for precision measurement.
  • With conventional portable systems based on 1-axis sensing, combined loads such as shear force and axial rotation cannot be captured.

Next-Generation Solution

6-axis measurement enables analysis of complex movements, including shear forces and rotational torque
  • High accuracy of less than 0.5% has been achieved in spite of its portability
  • High-speed force data acquisition at 1200 Hz.
  • Precise measurement supported by a high natural frequency of 520 Hz.
  • Advanced measurement including rotational torque and shear force.

POINT03

Customizability

CUSTOMIZE

Unlimited application potential

Flexible response to a wide range of needs

Conventional Challenges

It is difficult to obtain highly accurate measurements in special environments such as spiked footwear or artificial turf.
  • Standard force plates are typically offered only in predefined model, making special configurations difficult.
  • Support is often insufficient for cases that require consideration of installation methods or ancillary equipment.

Next-Generation Solution

Flexible support with in-house designed and selected accessories
  • As a sensor manufacturer, we can plan and provide force plates of various specifications, adapting rated capacity and size to your use-case
  • Flexible support with in-house designed/selected accessories such as adjusters, artificial turf, pitcher's mound/batter's box, etc.

SINTOKOGIO’s force plate weighs only 8 kg, making it easy to transport, while achieving a high measurement accuracy of ±0.5% FSO.

Many conventional products offer accuracies in the range of ±1–3% FSO, resulting in a significant difference in measurement performance.

In addition, the force plate supports loads of up to 5,000 N, combining lightweight portability with high-load measurement capability.
