Surface evaluation

Surface evaluation technology "Sightia™"

Sightia™ is the brand name of the technology used to evaluate surfaces after the blasting and peening process. It was developed by Sinto, delivering surface treatment as a total package.
This technology is applicable to various industries, from component parts for automotives, aircraft, and construction machinery to springs, dies, tools, etc.

Provides to increased reliability and quality assurance of the shot peening process by integrating a surface evaluation device into the shot peening process and inspecting all products in-line

Non-destructive peening inspection instrument ECNI-Ⅰ

Inspects peening quality without causing damage by scanning post-peening parts.
Assures to quality assurance of treated products and prevents distribution of defective products.

ECNI-Ⅰ

Features

  • Inspect the entire peening processed surface without damaging it
Differentiates between complete products and incomplete products such as unprocessed parts, partially processed parts, and those with insufficient coverage.
  • Possible to inspect all products by installing a device into the existing conveyor
It is possible to inspect in-line by integrating the technology into existing shot peening treatment equipment conveyor lines. It makes in-line quality control possible and prevents distribution of defective products.
  • Record inspection results, and save data and time stamp.
With the customer's own control of data, it is possible to control the daily processing condition.

X-ray residual stress measurement device PSMX-Ⅱ

It is an in-line stress measurement device. Incorporating in a single piece process flow achieves inspection of surface residual stresses of all products within cycle time.

PSMX-II

Features

  • Individually measures each product's surface residual stress without destroying
Instead of quality control by confirming process capacity through arc height and coverage, or stress measurement by inspection through sampling and breaking products, it inspects the surface residual stress of all products by X-ray.
  • Fastest in the world! Residual stress measurement in 10 seconds
High-speed stress measurement for possible in-line integration, and compact size.
  • Possible to change the settings to match your products.
Optimal measurement performed based on preset parameters including measured positions and locations as well as cycle time.
  • Possible to integrate into the existing work flow
We offer not only new peening equipment but also conversion of peening equipment already in use.
  • Comes in a set with two test specimens processed for added high compressive residual stress
It is possible to recalibrate measuring terms to match previously measured values.
